Nike is seizing upon the changing of the seasons with the new Nike Air Royal Mid Lite VT. The latest shoe from the Nike Spring/Summer 2011 more resembles a piece of Swiss cheese and a traditional Nike high top mixed together.
The Nike Air Royal Mid Lite VT has a perforated leather upper with three different colors to choose from. The perforations run throughout the toebox and upper panels and really give the Nike Air Royal Mid Lite VT a look unlike any I've seen before.
While the perforations may not be eye-pleasing, they do seem to be foot-pleasing -- especially for those whose feet tend to get sweaty in the summer and spring months. Nike hasn't really reinvented the wheel with the Nike Air Royal Mid Lite VT, and that's okay. The Swoosh is trying something out of their comfort zone and I for one, am all for it.
