Martha Glazzard at Nottingham Trent University created a fantastic stretch sensing fabric for the Aeolia Project that reproduces the sounds made by a Cellist. The conductive yarn was specifically tailored to fit cellist Peter Gregson.
The Aeolia Cello garment will be making an appearance as Peter Gregson performs at MIT’s Tangible and Embedded Interfaces 2010. The concept seems to be following Clarke’s Third Law which states: ‘Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic’ which in this case, is a wearable musical instrument.
