When architect Leo Qvarsebo set out to design his own summer house, he decided to model it after the concept of an adult treehouse.
Qvarsebo's innovative summer villa is located in a peaceful pasture in rural Sweden. Its sloped walls give it the shape of a perfect triangle from the outside. On the interior, sloped walls give way to idyllic views and rooms are open and bright. Adding to the light, airy feeling, the walls and ceilings are made of gorgeous, pale birch wood. The wood is actually sourced from a puzzle factory, which seems fitting for a triangular house. The doors and windows are 100% second-hand, making the summer home eco-friendly as well as beautifully designed. To finish off the adult treehouse theme, there's a ladder on the outside of the house that allows kids and grown-ups to climb the sloping structure.
