Plantea Estudio Completes the Interiors of Acid Bakery

Spanish design studio Plantea Estudio has completed the interiors of Acid bakery nestled in Berlin. It is defined by its austere palette and use of functional materials to form an urban aesthetic. It is on a corner lotte of the Mitte district with large windows looking onto Rosenthaler Strasse and Auguststrasse.

The main materials across the public space feature chestnut wall paneling and red Ferrés tiles to contrast the stainless steel and grey hues. The designers share, "The aim was to achieve a frank and efficient German ambiance and at the same time a temperate refuge, a Mediterranean 'nativity scene' in the harsh urban territory of Berlin's city center." The internal plan has an L shape and the appliances are all arranged along the back wall in front of the stainless steel panels for a light reflection.
