Spanish designer Alex Casabo has conceptualized the AC eBike, an electric bicycle that combines elements of fixies and BMX bikes. Casabo's design has the sleek and lightweight profile of a fixed-gear bicycle and the aggressive look and shocks needed for off-road riding. The main draw of the AC eBike is its electric motor. The designer says it would be capable of taking the bike 50 km (31 miles) at a speed of up to 40 km (25 miles).
In addition to its electric motor, the AC eBike also features smartphone connectivity. This connectivity allows riders to see the bike's remaining battery life and exact location using GPS.
