The Aakash Nihalani Vantage installation is current being featured at Italy's Wunderkammern gallery. The New York artist is known for creating three-dimensional illusions by way of tape, and he has done so again for this solo production.
Geometric strips of yellow, blue and red tape have been placed on top of doors for Vantage. Viewers thus appear much like they are entering alternate dimensions when stepping through the openings which resemble portals.
Where doors are not present, Nihalani has also used adhesive to create angular shapes, jutting out at the sides in varying rectangular and square shapes. The entire display will be open until May 17th, providing ample time for travelers and locals to check out the space.
