Audi is doing its part to make the driver's manual extinct with the new A3 eKurzinfo app. This app was developed by Metaio and is essentially an augmented reality driver's manual. The app works on iOS devices and lets you virtually pull up information on the Audi A3 using only your phone/tablet's camera. Metaio also developed a similar app for the Audi A1.
To use the app, all you need to do is activate it and position your camera over the part you want information on. The app provides relevant information on interior features and also basic maintenance instructions for engine components. The A3 eKurzinfo app can identify 300 individual components, making the need for a driver's manual almost non-existent.
