Blind Spot Eliminators

The A Plus Pillar Displays Surroundings in Real-Time in the Front Beams

Blind spots are tricky and even when drivers think they've checked it all, there are others on the road who may not be as attentive, which was why Sang Hu Lee designed the A Plus Pillar.

The Industrial Design student from Jeju National University eliminates the blind spots created by the two front pillars on both sides of the windshield. By attaching a camera to the exterior of each pillar, the LED panel on the inside of the beam will reflect the surroundings outside in real-time. Sang Hu Lee also incorporated facial recognition software so the display can sense the direction of the driver's eyes. By doing so, the camera will adjust the LED panel's picture at an angle so that it won't be confused with the gaze of the driver.
