4K televisions are just starting to take hold in the consumer market but LG is already ahead of the curve with its massive 88-inch 8K OLED TV. Unveiled at the 2018 IFA show in Berlin, this model of television is being used to introduce a new line-up of 8K TVs. Known as the Q900R, the 8K OLED TV will max out at 88-inches but can also be purchased in 65-inch, 75-inch, 82-inch and 85-inch sizes.
Driven by the 'Quantum Processor 8K' the impressive television owes its 8K abilities to an AI upscaling system. This system will fill the void in the absence of native 8K video content and will naturally scale it up. The 8K OLED TV will also feature LG's most advanced backlighting system, capable of reproducing a 4000 nit brightness level.
