As part of a special promotion in honor of its birthday, 7-Eleven dubbed July 11th (i.e. the eleventh day of the seventh month) 7-Eleven day. The chain gave away free small Slurpees to all comers on that day, but the giveaways continue for those with the 7-Eleven app. Any user who scanned the app to purchase seven Slurpees between July 12th and 18th receives their next 11 free — an unprecedented deal.
