Anniversary-Honoring Archival Homeware

British furniture retail brand Habitat recently unveiled its 60th Anniversary collection that highlights various collaborations with designers. The new capsule brings life back to archive pieces in the form of homeware and furniture. This highlights 60 years of design and features established designers alongside newer talents as well. A notable piece that returns includes the chicken brick that was first launched in 1964, which is a ceramic oven dish that is meant for steam cooking. Other notable designs that have returned include the modernist Scoop chat from the 70s and the Ribbon light from 2004.

Head of Design at Habitat, Andrew Tanner explains that the brand's 60th anniversary created an opportunity for the team to "look back and celebrate the last sixty years of Habitat's rich heritage. It's allowed us to reimagine classics from decades past for how we live now, as well as conceive new and thoughtful pieces that we hope will become collectables and represent the next generation of design. Habitat has always championed great design and was founded on the concept of quality homeware that turns heads,. We want to continue to be known for this moving forward. We are able, like never before, to create design-led products that are accessible and affordable to all."
