You know technology is getting somewhere when 3D chocolates are almost a reality.
Foodies and chocolate enthusiasts can now rejoice because 3D Systems and Hershey's are teaming up to develop a 3D printer that makes the best stuff on earth: 3D chocolate! The 3D printer will also work on developing other edible yummy products.
"Whether it's creating a whole new form of candy or developing a new way to produce it, we embrace new technologies such as 3-D printing as a way to keep moving our timeless confectionery treats into the future," said William Papa, head of research and development at Hershey.
The recent news of the collaboration came after 2014 CES, where 3D Systems said breaking into the chocolate market would help them be a little more mainstream.
Whatever happens, we're anxiously waiting for this concept to come to fruition.
