Massive Human Art Installations

350 Earth Calls for Global Satellite-Viewable Submissions

350 Earth, also known as 350.org, has issued a call to artists to submit climate change design sketches that will be used to create images viewable from space. The designs will be replicated by human beings, assembled like pixels on a computer screen, to create images so large that they will be seen and photographed by an orbiting satellite.

Twenty simultaneous public art installations will be placed in areas of climate crisis in November 2010. 350 Earth wants to produce the massive images to draw attention to the increasingly serious effects of global warming.
