Industrial designer Matthew Parsons has imagined what the luxury car of the future would look like with the 2050 Rolls-Royce Phantom concept. The car was inspired by the Rolls-Royce Vision Next 100, a concept created by BMW which is the parent company of Rolls-Royce. Since Parson's Phantom was designed for the year 2050 it's a bit less futuristic in design than the Next 100.
In fact, the 2050 Rolls-Royce Phantom may look out of place in 33 years with its boxy look, and that may be by design. It's very likely the folks running Rolls-Royce in the future will want their cars to exude old world class and luxury. The cabins will be modern but the outside will need to look like a big and beefy luxury car from yesteryear. The 2050 Rolls-Royce Phantom seems to fit that bill.
