Kith works in collaboration with Brooklyn furniture designer Mark Jupiter to remix the reissued Bose 1960 speakers. The audio system is imagined in sleek wooden casings and metal bases. The 1960 speakers are a celebration of its 60th anniversary. It is a limited collection as only twelve pairs were made with the main change lying in the updated variation of the original hardware.
Founder of KITH, Ronnie Fieg shares "The way people used to house these speakers in their home, I felt like they were more furniture pieces than anything else — even though [Bose] reinvented sound with these speakers. It's that time to respect the design and understand how timeless it was, and all I'm trying to do is build around it because the 901 is iconic beyond words."
