Top 100 Mobile Trends in December

From iPhone-mounted gaming controllers to new music discovery services, the December 2021 mobile trends consist of an exciting combination of inventive hardware add-ons and new app launches.

On the hardware side of things, several brand's launched interesting new products that were designed to either improve or diversify the experience of using a mobile phone. For example, Anker launched a magnetic phone ring holder called Anker MagGo 610 MagSafe. The simple add-on was designed to provide mobile users with a better grip on their devices. Meanwhile, Compal unveiled the Gravitation controller, an aftermarket accessory that transforms smartphones into full-fledged gaming controllers.

In addition, a variety of new and notable apps/app features were launched this month. For example, in the world of finance, Venmo launched a new feature for real-time crypto price tracking, while French startup Lydia revamped its app to offer users an all-in-one investment platform.
