This Wout Wessemius table is anything but traditional. The 'Chapli' table is an inventive creation from the Netherlands based designer. The 'Chalpi's' abstract tabletop design mimics a wooden leaf whilst the legs are made from rubber which has been twisted in a visually stunning way.
Rubber is not a product one would associate with furniture, but in this instance, it works wonderfully. The opposing way in which the legs are twisted, as well as the alien look of the thick chunks of rubber, have an off-putting appeal.
