Roblox Gets a Mariah Carey-Backed ‘Winter Wonderland’ Experience

Mariah Carey’s Winter Wonderland is a virtual metaverse-based “[...] way to connect with the iconic artist and enjoy her music together with friends and family.” During the month of December, a holiday treasure hunt, virtual item drops, and Christmas-ready Livetopia homes will be available, culminating with virtual performances by Carey herself. The star will perform old and new songs, including All I Want For Christmas Is You as the finale.

“Christmas is my absolute favourite time of the year. This year, I wanted to do something different to ring in the holiday season,” says Carey, “My kids and I live for Roblox, and we couldn't be more excited to be creating this festive metaverse experience for everyone.”

The Roblox event will also tap beauty brand eos, which is known globally for its round, egg-shaped lip balms. This is the brand’s first metaverse activation.
