In a bid to entice more customers KFC will be experimenting with vegetarian fried chicken across its host of UK locations. The new vegetarian option is meant to be a healthier alternative to the restaurant's standard fare, as well as being the first vegetarian fried chicken to ever hit a any fast-food chain. The new menu item will include the signature secret blend of 11 spices but further details have been sparse as KFC is still in its early development stage of this new menu item.
The revamped menu with vegetarian fried chicken will also include a new collection of side dishes that aim to reduce the menu's calories by 20% per serving. These initiatives are part of a greater goal for KFC which is aiming to offer lunch and dinners in options under 600 calories.
