There is often a very familiar formula to university furniture that is practical and often isolating. One design firm took it upon themselves to create a large table that encourages interaction among students. Taking inspiration from the common artist palette, this particular piece of university furniture provides a lot of strategic surface to congregate around.
Designed by Menéndez and Gamonal Arquitectos, the university furniture was created for the Classroom Building in the Milan Campus at Oviedo University in Asturias, Spain. Creative and collaborative, it brings students attention to the need for socialization on a variety of levels in such environments. By embracing university furniture that points people in that direction, such social activities become even easier.
