AMD announced it will be releasing a new ultra-fast CPU. The CPU is titled the 'Ryzen 9 3900X' and is the third version of Ryzen CPUs. The new Ryzen CPU is a 12-core and 24 thread model. The design will have a new chip configuration, called Zen 2 architecture. This new design will improve performance by 15 percent. The 'Ryzen 9 3900X' operates at speeds from 3.68-4.6GHz and has 70MB of total cache. This is double the performance and cache when compared to previous CPU models the company released.
The new AMD CPU has a $499 price point. AMD set this price point in order for its model to be significantly cheaper than comparable CPUs. The AMD ultra-fast CPU will be available for purchase July 7th.
