The 'Queen Vanna' colored ice project is ideal for outdoor winter decor. This easy do-it-yourself project creates the illusion of large marbles, but in reality it's ice.
To make these stylish pieces all that is needed are some balloons, water and food coloring. You simply fill the balloons up with water, and add a different color of food coloring to each balloon, then place outside until frozen. Once completely cooled, use a pair of scissors to remove the rubber casings -- the end result is sure to impress!
This is a great way to spruce up the garden during those cold months when all that can be seen is snow. Best of all there is no maintenance involved, as the cold temperatures keep them stable. Even if they were to crack, they can be easily and affordably replaced.
