NYC company 'Overthrow' has conceived a limited edition of printed boxing gloves. Inspired by the counterculture movement towards marijuana legalization that took place at the shop's address, the gloves pay the perfect homage. The gloves are made at New York's number 9 Bleeker Street, described as "the birthplace of High Times Magazine."
The illustrated gloves are the subject of much detail, vibrant color and smoke culture that make them an exclusive creation. Although the intricate pop art-style depictions covering them would make for a great collectible, they are designed for throwing punches as well. Offered in one size, the 16oz gloves are "made with double layered padding around your wrist to keep the joint secure to prevent injury and promote proper hand positioning."
