Raised & Rooted is a new brand from Tyson Foods that is now introducing plant-based nuggets that are made from pea protein. These nugget alternatives closely resemble fried chicken yet boast a simple yet unique ingredient list that includes pea protein, egg whites, flaxeed and bamboo fiber. Additionally, the nourishing, soy-free plant-based nuggets boast nine grams of protein per serving, plus fiber and a reduced amount of saturated fat.
With many consumers looking for plant-based products and alternative protein sources, plant-powered products are top-of-mind for consumers who are looking to consume meat or reduce their environmental impact. According to Noel W. White, president and CEO of Tyson Foods, "Today’s consumers are seeking more protein options, so we’re creating new products for the growing number of people open to flexible diets that include both meat and plant-based protein."
