Mark Owen, a wheelchair user of 12 years, set up Nomad with his brother Jon to offer people mobility products they can be proud of.
Nomad is not content to be just another wheelchair maker, it puts a great deal of emphasis on design: "Wheelchairs are now being considered as design items, not simply medical ones," says Mark Owen, "and our branding is being seen as aspirational, which is unheard of in mobility circles. We really are very proud." Each Nomad is made to order so that it can be custom-fit to its owner.
