Designer and artist Maud Vantours is a master of paper. She manipulates this crafty medium in colorful ways. Strategically layering colored construction paper, she fashions paper sculptures that take on many themes including botany, kaleidoscopes, spirals and more. Through these layers, Maud Vantours' creations also have a decidedly three dimensional aesthetic, forming a vortex-like look that people will find themselves getting lost in.
Living and working in Paris, Maud Vantours is a recent graduate from Duperré school. An award-winning artist, her work has been shown in Paris and internationally. The original graphics she molds often form a dream-like landscape that few will find easy to ignore. Maud Vantours writes, "Color, material and patterns have an important place in my work, like paper, which became my favorite material. I cut it to create inspired patterns in volume."
