The time-honored tradition of Kumbh Mela attracts millions of Hindu worshipers. Amongst the throngs of people, photographer Ken Hermann managed to snap some incredible individual shots of some participants making the sacred pilgrimage.
Ironically, most images associated with Kumbh Mela depict seas of people flowing towards their destination. However, with most of Hermann's photos being of a single person, we are reminded that even when a pilgrimage involves millions, the experience had by each participant is singular.
