Apple Unveiled its Second Smartphone Model with New the iPhone 6 Plus
Meghan Young — September 9, 2014 — Tech
Just when people were getting geared up for the announcement of the Apple iPhone 6, the company decided to release two smartphones including the iPhone 6 Plus. Dubbed a 'phablet,' it is a phone and tablet in one thanks to its larger size and higher resolution of 1920x1080. Although not as high as the resolutions from the LG G3 and Galaxy Note 4, it's a record for Apple devices. The iPhone 6 Plus also comes with a 64-bit A8 processor with a brand new camera sensor and optical image stabilization.
Like the iPhone 6, the iPhone 6 Plus boasts an 8 megapixel camera with True Tone flash and a 2.2 aperture and an all new sensor. It will be available in three colors: gold, space gray and silver. Although the iPhone 6 Plus hits stores on September 19, 2014, it can be pre-ordered on September 12.
