This beautifully moving generations photo series will make you want to work on your own family photography project to document the women in your family.
In this generations photo series 'Mutter Schuhe (Mother’s Shoes),' photographer Nina Röder takes on her mom's history to better understand who her mother really is. Using visual evolution of three generations of women in her family -- herself, her mother and her grandmother -- the series takes place in her mothers childhood home with all the women dressed up in the mother’s clothing.
“The personal narrative of my mother and my grandmother affects my life in a very dominant way: Almost every artwork I’ve done so far is influenced by conscious or unconscious aspects of family stories," says Röder.
