Technology is becoming more and more advanced, so it's no surprise that a super fast book scanner is in the works to digitize books at a revolutionary speed. Lab members Takashi Nakashima and Yoshihiro Watanabe are creating this super fast book scanner, which is able to record up to 200 pages in one minute.
The laser is able to capture images at a rate of 500 fps, which means you just have to flip the pages (like one of those flip books) and the camera will take care of the rest. The coolest part is the 3D technology captures the curved page and translates it into a flat image. Amazing!
