Looking like a flattened Batmobile, the jet powered Flatmobile is set to claim the World's Lowest/Flattest Vehicle record with a height of 48cm (19â€).
The Flatmobile is designed and built by Perry Watkins using shells from two vintage Hillman Imps. Its jet engine is based on a gas turbine jet engine and a Holset 685 turbocharger from a Volvo FL10 truck. Its length is 12'2†(17†longer than standard), and width is 5' 5â€. The suspension front uses Avro shocks with adjustable height 4″ springs , suspension rear uses standard springs and shocks on rear but cut down.
The flatmobile awaits verification from Guinness World Records for the 'World's Flattest Vehicle' record which is currently held by a vehicle called Flat Out measuring 56cm in height.
