Design firm F9 Productions has created a conceptual house designed to withstand the assault of a flash flood. The F9 Productions' Flood House is a raised house that incorporates sustainable technology to ensure that you will still be living easy, even as the rest of the world begins to float away.
The F9 Productions' Flood House sits about 10 feet off the ground on stilts. Entrance is gained to the home from both a staircase and an elevator located on the ground floor, both of which can be sealed shut with steel shutters if need be. The house is luxurious and cozy, and can produce its own energy with its rooftop solar panels and a cistern providing you water.
A design like the Flood House would be great for people living in low-lying areas that see a lot of rain or next to oft-flooding rivers. If that sounds like where you live or if you genuinely do fear that the coastal states are set to become beachfront property sometime soon, then check out the F9 Productions' Flood House here.
