Giovanni Scafuro creates eco-chic jewelry from plastic bags. The Tina collection uses old, non recycled plastic bags from grocery stores and gives them new meaning. The collection is full of a series of bright and vivid rings and earrings to complement your eco-conscious lifestyle.
These beauties are seriously limited edition, as the "raw material" (i.e. non-eco grocery bags) will not be produced anymore.
Giovannie Scafuro, a Naples-born artist has been experimenting with recycling for awhile. His "Forkinprogress" collections include objects, sculptures and jewelry made out of forks, necklaces made of eyeglasses and now eco-chic jewelry created from plastic bags.
The Tina collection is young, hip and radiates the joy of an eco-fiendly urban lifestyle. Now, if only I could get these rings by redeeming my grocery loyalty points.
