This DIY Cake Stand is Rustic-Modern in its Textured Concrete Design

This DIY cake stand is a pretty rustic addition to your kitchen and it costs less than $3 to make. All it requires is a bag of concrete, concrete glue, a plastic cup, a cake pan and some water. The full pictorial and written instructions are posted on the Subtle Revelry blog.
The plastic cup is the mold for the base tower of the cake stand and a tinfoil-covered cake pan is the mold for the surface. All you need to do is pour it into the molds separately and let the concrete dry for about a day. You then glue upside-down cup mold and the flat pan-like disk together with concrete glue. Finish off with a layer of food-safe wax on top.
