The Proper Nutty Dark Roast peanut butter has been announced by the UK retailer as one of its latest spreads that aims to provide consumers with a way to elevate their favorite sandwiches and recipes. The peanut butter is crafted with peanuts that have been roasted for longer than usual, which is said by the brand to give it a more intense flavor profile. The peanut butter comes packaged in 280-gram jars priced at £3.29 and is rolling out now to 55 locations for shoppers to pick up.
Chief Peanutologist at Asda Simon Greenwood-Haigh spoke on the Proper Nutty Dark Roast peanut butter saying, "Proper Nutty is – as they say in Yorkshire – made proper and offers affordable premium at a time when people are looking to treat themselves but not break the bank. As well as attracting shoppers who want to trade up, we are also finding that a growing number of people are trading out of almond and cashew nut butters and turning to premium peanut offerings. That way they can still treat themselves, but on a smaller budget."
