Bookshelves are as varied in design as the books they house; some are colorful and adventurous, while others have an air of romance. While some people love antique furniture, so there are people who enjoy old books with a history. Others love the feel of crisp new novel, just as some people enjoy modern furniture.
One of our Trend Hunters posed an interesting question this week: with eBook readers becoming mainstream, what will happen to the bookshelf industry? Judging by the designs in this cluster, I’d say these funky furnishings still have a few good years left in homes, if only for storing ‘antique’ paper books, or as a display case for (digital) photo frames and fun knickknacks.
