From Distinctive Crafty Notes to Bike-Sharing Schemes

What do these Mumbai-based social enterprises have in common? Perhaps not a whole lot in terms of business model but they all work in Mumbai, the capital city of Maharashtra, formerly known as Bombay, and the city with the most people in all of India. What this means is that some of the areas they address are similar even if the ways and methods may vary.
Here are a few examples of the variety. There's Mirakle Couriers, which hires hearing-impaired couriers and messengers for its services. Quite differently, yet important to mention here is Cycle Chalao, a bike-sharing scheme in India that was actually recently shut down because of lack of government funding. This illuminates some of the shared challenged that these social enterprises may face as Mumbai-based social enterprises.
