And while this month saw many companies utilizing similar tactics to capture consumer attention, there were a few standout innovations worth noting.
In particular, augmented reality activations and metaverse-like expereinces continued to emerge as key tools for marketers this month. For example, telecommunications company EE announced the launch of its 'Green Planet AR Experience' starring Sir David Attenborough. The new experience, which leads guests on an immersive digital journey through breathtaking natural environments, skillfully doubles as a promotion for EE's new 5G network.
Similarly, Get Joy, a direct-to-consumer wellness dog brand, announced a new metaverse initiative involving a virtual dog park. According to the company, the new initiative intended to draw attention to the need for more dedicated spaces for dogs. At the same time, however, it provided Get Joy with an innovative means for raising brand awareness, distinguishing itself as a truly digital-forward company operating within the pet care space.
