Dee Sandin — April 2, 2008 — Art & Design
When completed, this exhibition complex, designed by Thompson, Ventulet, Stainback and Associates, will be the largest in China. Located near the capital airport, and drawing on traditional elements like gates and gardens, the complex is linked to the river and the green belt. It includes 16 individual exhibit halls surrounded by mixed use development.

China is becoming more modernized, but it's a place that still retains its tradition. It's hard to determine where architecture will go in the future, but in China, the future of architecture may be modern designs hinged on tradition that respects the country's culture.
